Bible Course - Discover the Bible Together with Other Youth!

This year the FeG Holstenwall, the Latino Church and the IBC will offer a Bible Course- "Biblischer Unterricht"- together. The course will take place at the FeG Holstenwall for about an hour every week. We will meet on Thursdays at 5 pm. After two years we will conclude the course with a special service. This will be a time of celebration in which we give the youth God's blessing and commit them to their adult life.

The aim of the Bible course is to make the kids acquainted with the major content of the Bible and the evangelical faith. We want to enable them to interact with the Christian faith in a competent and independent manner.

Syllabus

We will spend most of our time discussing the structure, development and content of the books of the Bible. At the same time will talk about life skills, life in the church, different religions and denominations, as well as church history.

The course will be taught by Pastor Markus Endlich (FeG Holstenwall), Pastor Hans Andereya (Latino Church), Pastor Christian Bach (IBC Hamburg), and Matthias Endlich (FeG Holstenwall). The course will be held in German.

Who can participate?

The Bible course is open to all youth who are between 12-15 years old. In order to create some regularity for the participants we would ask you to make a binding registration. There is an annual cost of 15 € for course materials.

Dates

The Bible course will begin on the 15th of April 2010 and end in the spring of 2012. Parents of youth who are interested in the course are welcome to an information evening. This will take place at the FeG Holstenwall on Thursday, 8th of April at 7.30 pm.
